Over the last few months God has been teaching me A LOT to say the least. I am working on putting it into words here but time seems to be shrinking in my world right now :)! Soon though I will come back here with a little more to share on knowing God's goodness, how unbelievable big and intricate He is, and what it means to flourish where I am. Until then, enjoy this awesome video of my sweet boy. He has no idea he's being videoed at first. He's indescribable!

Tonight I went for a walk around the park. For some reason, I found myself walking with my head down. Then I looked up, and I saw this:
Such a beautiful sky. And a beautiful reminder to me to look up. These days my days are full. I said to one friend, I feel like my days are happening to me but that I'm not living fully in them. Now trust me, I know we just got home & transition is ongoing and what not. But tonight, as I walked hard & steady, if I'd kept my head down & just powered on, I would have missed this reminder of God's beauty, goodness, & nearness. My prayers lately basically consist of me gargling out the words, Jesus I need you. And I am honestly calling to Him when I say that. The comfort for me is that before the words are on my lips, I've got Him. He is with me. It is so good, and I am so thankful. I need only to look up.
"I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot slip—
he who watches over you will not slumber"

Friends, we're alive. Whew. Life is full and good. I have no words to begin all that these last 2 plus weeks have encompassed. For now, thank you all a thousand times for encouraging us, praying for us, checking in on us, visiting us, and overall loving us like crazy! I could not be happier to to be home with all my people under one roof. I can't promise that I will be around here often, or that I will have anything significant to say, but I can give you pictures...and that will surely make your day!
