the goings ons

We have been going going around here!  Madeline's birthday was this past weekend, I began preparing for our annual Potter's House Christmas event, Andrew & I are about to go to HAWAII for 9 days and leave our children with family, and we got great news regarding our adoption!  So much goodness packed into all that and I really hope to spend a little more time reveling in each one...but not today.  I gotta get my crew ready and get myself off to the sunny beaches!  Very, very, thankful for that!

insert me here for the next 9 days.  big happies.

if only i could keep up with my crazy train

I live my life on crazy train.

I know all you mama's do as well.

It is not a bad train just because I call it crazy.  It is the only train I'd want to be on.  It is crazy.  But it's also mine.  Or at least mine in the sense that it is the train God has given me for this brief little stint here on earth.

I do love it a lot.

These days our little crazy train is keeping us hopping.

Jobs keep moving, kids keep growing, meals need to be cooked and laundry done.  And in the midst of it all we are all pressing on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called us heavenward in Christ Jesus.  Things may not be how I would've written them, they may not (don't) "look" always right, but I keep trusting Jesus and walking in faith, thankful He guides me through the littles and bigs of my days.

For your pleasure, this little gal.  She loves bubbles.

my little guy is four now

So very glad to celebrate the life of our little Simeon!  He just turned 4.  He brings so much genuine joy and laughter and love into our home and we are so very thankful for him.  Some things I want to remember...
1. He rides a bike without training wheels and has for about 9 months now.
2. He likes to say, "Why do you be so silly because you be so silly?"
3. He loves guns, light sabers, any item that can be a warrior weapon.
4. His favorite worship song is Give Me Jesus.
5. He eats a pb&j daily for lunch.
6. He can write his name.
7. He prays to Jesus with thoughtful, kind words.
8. He plays with his sisters.
9.  He loves wrestling with his daddy.

10.  And he still loves his 'mama snuggles' every night.

For his birthday we had a little boy battle birthday party.  Andrew took five little guys to a park, dressed up in Star Wars costumes, and they all battled against the enemy (Andrew).  They had a blast!  Then all our families met up there for pizza & cake.  On his actual birthday we had family over for more cake and again, he loved ever second!  Thanks to everyone who loves our Simeon!
